Q: Where can I buy LoRaWAN Hotspot?

Q: Can UG65/UG67 be used for mining?
A: Only the Helium version can be used for mining. Please check it before placing the order.
Q: What’s the difference between standard and helium versions?
A: Except for the mining function, the helium version adopts 2GB RAM, 32GB flash memory, encryption chip and extra external antenna by default. Also, firmwares are different and not compatible with each other.
Q: What are the main device specifications?
A: Quad-core industrial processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, SX1302 LoRa chip, ATECC608 and 4G/LTE (Optional).
Q: What is the type of antenna connector?
A: N-type (female).
Q: What is the gain of external antennas?
A: UG65 is 2dBi (18 cm) and UG67 is 5dBi antennas (60 cm).
Q: Can UG65/UG67 be used outside?
A: Yes. The waterproof rating is IP65 and IP67 respectively. However, IP65 can withstand just small spills of water but not heavy rain or snow. They are capable of working in a harsh environment between -40 and +70 degrees Celsius and with up to 95% humidity.
Q: Are the devices secure and safe?
A: The UG65/UG67 have enabled security communication with multiple VPNs like IPsec/OpenVPN/L2TP/PPTP/DMVPN.
Q: How can I remotely manage the devices?
A: You can use VPN through external IP or Milesight DeviceHub (central management platform for the LoRaWAN hotspots) to manage the device. More info: https://www.milesight-iot.com/devicehub/
Q: The blockchain is growing. Is 32GB Flash Memory enough?
A: We have built the code to clean the old blocks, so the space won’t be an issue.
Q: What comes with Helium Hotspot?
A: UG65/UG67 & accessories; Hotspot onboarding fee (40 USD); first location assert fee (10 USD) (Update on November 3, 2021).
**Any change of location after the first assertion is covered by the user at a cost of $10 USD.
Q: How do I get Milesight Helium Hotspot online?

1. Connect LoRaWAN Hotspot to the Internet.
2. Enter your wallet address to generate a QR code in Hotspot web GUI.
3. Use Helium APP to scan the QR code to onboard the Hotspot step by step.
Q: Where can I find the Helium app supporting Millesight Helium Hotspot?
A: Helium App 3.8.0 will support Milesight Helium Hotspot. You can check the update progress at this link.
Q: How does Milesight Helium Hotspot keep the miner up to date?
A: Milesight Helium Hotspot will detect whether there is a new miner version every 1 hour automatically.

A: Yes, Milesight Helium Hotspot supports PoC, and it is full miner.
Q: When do you plan to announce Light Hotspot?
A: According to Helium’s official plan, the verification of Light Hotspot will start in next February, we’ll evaluate it then.
Q: Does Milesight Helium Hotspot support connecting other NS, or Milesight IoT Cloud at the same time?
A: Not support now, If you have a certain project in process, please contact Milesight for evaluation.
Q: Hotspot will keep synchronizing blockchain, what is the hotspot service life?
A: Milesight Helium Hotspot eMMC flash supports 3000 PE. According to the current Helium blockchain growing speed, it will take 1 month to write a full flash block, so the theoretical service life is 1000 months.
Q: Is it possible to mine simultaneously with sending data from the devices?
A: Yes, you can add your sensors to the Helium network server to get data.
